Hiking in the Var hinterland

Known for its coastline, the “VAR” is nevertheless the most wooded subdivision of France after the LANDES subdivision (situated south west of France). VAR offers many possibilities for hiking, following hiking trails (GR) which cross it, or local loops which make it possible to discover:

Many hiking trails allow you to discover the famous GORGES from several angles and the lake of Sainte-Croix also combines the charm of hiking and the pleasure of aquatic activities. Finally, some walks will take you inside NATURA 2000 classified areas.
